The article examines the urgent topic of today, which acutely raises the issue of the formation of national consciousness as the basis of the nation, the unifying factor of society based on such features as language, culture, history, traditions, etc. It has been proven that raising a nationally conscious citizen, a patriot, an active leader of the national idea requires finding effective means of forming national awareness in the younger generation. Culture and art play a decisive role in this process. They have their own, historically composed, most effective means of influencing a person and society, which is why they play a significant role in shaping the national consciousness of people, especially teenagers. It is argued that the Ukrainization of the modern artistic center of youth and their culture is an extremely important problem today. The purpose of the article is a theoretical and methodical substantiation of the influence of modern Ukrainian art on the process of forming the national awareness of teenagers. The article analyzes scientific sources on the subject under the study; effective methods of influence of modern Ukrainian art on the formation of national consciousness of teenagers were identified and described; techniques and technologies for the implementation of methods of influence of modern Ukrainian art on the formation of the national awareness of teenagers are determined. The results of the study demonstrate that modern art is one of the most promising and relevant means of raising national consciousness, as it acts as a spiritual and practical mastering of the world. Introduction in the educational process integrated art lessons comprising a complex of methods, notably motivational-actual, game, educational-developmental (imaginativereproductive, fixed-memorizing, educational-developmental), visual-demonstration, and the case method, which are based on the works of modern of Ukrainian art, will contribute to the formation of the national awareness and self-identification of students.
