Artistic trends develop along with the progress of social life, and their influence on interior design is particularly remarkable. Interior design also changes along with the variations of contemporary artistic trends. The various trends triggered by contemporary art offer thought-provoking inspirations to interior design and architecture. When facing external influences, China should take the essence and discard the dross, and combine it with its own local conditions. Only by fully absorbing the long-standing history and culture of our country can we innovatively design excellent interior designs that not only have Chinese characteristic culture but also conform to the spirit of The Times. This article starts from the relationship between the background of contemporary art trends and Chinese interior design, tells about the interior space of ancient Chinese buildings, explains the integrated development of contemporary art trends and interior design, and describes some interior design methods.
