AbstractThe present experiment was carried out in the Nursery of Department of Fruit Science, C.S. Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur, (UP) during the year 2023-24, using fifteen treatment combinations viz., five levels of Indole-3-butyric acid 0 ppm (I0), 500 ppm (I1), 1500 ppm (I2), 2500 ppm (I3) and 3500 ppm (I4) and three types of stem cuttings Hardwood (C1), Semi-hardwood (C2) and Softwood (C3), replicated thrice in F.R.B.D. for assessing the effect of regeneration potential of stem cuttings in acid lime through different IBA concentrations and types of stem cuttings. The results of the experiment signify that IBA @ 2500 ppm + Hardwood cutting (I3C1) significantly influenced the shoot and root traits of acid lime cuttings and resulted in the earliest sprouting (11.54 days) with maximum number of sprouts (6.43), length of sprout (15.89 cm), diameter of sprout (6.91 mm), number of leaves (14.28), leaf area (9.33 cm2), fresh weight of shoots (4.40 g), dry weight of shoots (4.31 g), number of primary (17.66) and secondary (14.42) roots, length of longest roots (16.55 cm), diameter of thickest roots (0.79 mm), percentage of rooted cuttings (80.00%), survival percentage (79.17%), fresh weight of roots (3.09 g) and dry weight of roots (1.34 g).
