Drama games, as organized creative games, provide children with the opportunity to improve their speech, develop communication skills and expressive abilities, but also show creativity and imagination, develop empathy, and feel for community. The aim of the paper is to analyze the importance of dramatic games and their influence, primarily, the development and improvement of the speech of a preschool child. Some of the dramatic games and their role in the development of children's speech from the lexical and syntactic aspects are discussed. The importance of dramatic games is emphasized in order to create opportunities for the enrichment of the lexical fund, the spontaneous development of children's awareness of the use of words in their basic and figurative meaning. The spontaneity with which children's games are created allows freedom of expression and unencumbered by mistakes, as well as a significant enrichment of sentence structure, as well as regularity in formation. In the conclusion, an overview is given of the importance of dramatic games for the development of a child's expressive abilities, his free expression of his own ideas, as well as the importance for maturation in general.
