Developing media literacy in primary school students is one of the most effective ways of forming the right attitude of students towards the different types of modern media, but also of preventing undesirable media content. For pupils to be media literate, they need to be well informed about the issues that are spread through the media, they need to be aware of the media and their role in daily life, and they need to know what positive and negative influence they have on them. With the help of appropriate questions, tasks and assignments in the reading books related to the texts covered in Serbian language classes, students can become media literate at a younger age.
