This study takes Rende Fourth Primary School in Xundian County as the sample and, under the background of the new curriculum standards, comprehensively employs multiple methods to explore the primary school English enlightenment teaching model. The research finds that although the phonics method has potential, it is constrained by various factors, resulting in students experiencing difficulties in phonological acquisition and oral expression. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the relevant constraining mechanisms and proposes optimization strategies such as enhancing teachers' abilities and improving home-school cooperation to promote the development of primary school English education.
