Education is a fundamental process through which individuals acquire knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes. It typically involves formal systems like schools and universities, but can also encompass informal learning experiences from family, community, and personal exploration. The primary goals of education are to foster intellectual growth, prepare individuals for professional and personal challenges, and contribute to the development of informed, engaged citizens. This study investigates self-concept and interest on science of secondary level school students. A standardized tools— science interest scale (sit) by dr. L.N Dubey and dr. Archna Dubey & Children’s Self-Concept Scale by Dr. S.P. Ahluwalia and Dr. Hari Shankar Singh—was used to assess self-concept & interest in science across 160 students (80 boys and 80 girls) from CBSE schools in Meerut. Statistical analysis revealed no significant difference between the interest of science of secondary level school students of boys and girls & no significant difference to compare the self-concept of secondary level school students of boys and girls. These results suggest a narrowing gender gap in science-related attitudes and psychological self-perception in secondary education
