Task-based Language Teaching is a student-centered teaching method, the core of which is to guide students to actively participate in learning by designing specific and operable learning tasks, to acquire knowledge and skills. Task-based language teaching method emphasizes “learning by doing” and “using in learning”, takes specific tasks as learning motivation and motivation, emphasizes the learning process while completing tasks, and reflects teaching achievements by displaying task results. It organizes teaching by task so that students can give full play to their cognitive ability in the learning mode of participation, experience, interaction, communication, and cooperation, mobilize the existing knowledge resources, and perceive, recognize, and apply knowledge in practice. This paper mainly focuses on the specific infiltration and practice of task-based language teaching methods for business English audio-visual and oral courses in colleges and universities. The application of task-based language teaching methods in business English class, such as communicating with customers with different cultural backgrounds and dealing with business conflicts, is helpful to students’ cross-cultural communication ability, understanding business etiquette, communication methods, and values of different cultures in practice, and enhancing students’ cross-cultural communication ability.
