This article explores the role of traditional games in fostering creativity and social interaction in early childhood education through a qualitative research methodology, specifically a literature review. The study examines existing scholarly works that highlight the educational and developmental benefits of traditional games in early childhood settings. Despite the increasing use of digital technologies in contemporary classrooms, traditional games remain an effective and engaging method for promoting creativity, cognitive development, and social skills. The research underscores the importance of play as a fundamental aspect of child development, in alignment with Vygotsky’s theory of play, which suggests that it fosters cognitive and social growth in children. The study also emphasizes the cultural significance of traditional games, offering insights into their role in preserving cultural heritage while fostering essential interpersonal skills such as cooperation, communication, and conflict resolution. By synthesizing findings from ten relevant articles, this review advocates for the integration of traditional games in modern early childhood education curricula. The study concludes that traditional games provide a low-cost, enriching alternative to digital learning tools, offering a unique approach to holistic child development. It also recommends further research into the specific types of traditional games that are most effective in promoting creativity and social interaction in diverse educational settings.
