The purpose of the presented research is to study the specifics of the application of an interdisciplinary approach in the foreign language training of engineering university students. The authors consider the features of the formation of professional and communicative skills of future graduates of the Higher School of engineering using a "mixed form of education", that is, interactive technologies. Based on the integration of the theoretical conclusions and practical pedagogical experience, the conclusions of the presented research in the field of application of an interdisciplinary approach in the educational practice of the university are determined: knowledge of professional vocabulary and the basics of grammar of the language being studied, students form and develop speech skills - writing, listening, speaking, understanding professional vocabulary, skills in the perception of dialect, which help in teaching subjects correctly understand, process, analyze and synthesize information; formulate their ideas and thoughts in a foreign language; provide future graduates.
