Every aspect of travel and tourism affects the environment from the moment one leaves home and shuts the door behind him. The choices travelers make regarding transportation methods and destinations have become significantly more important than in the choices of the previous eras. Tourism impacts diverse ecosystems including land, water, air, plants and animals through three primary sources, development of infrastructure and facilities, tourism business operations, and tourist behaviors and even actions. This paper focuses on the tourism sector's effects on both natural and social environments, highlighting the complex relationship between tourism growth and environmental degradation and the response from the legal system of Pakistan in terms of making tourism policies and guidelines. The study concludes by proposing potential remedies to mitigate environmental damage caused by tourism activities.
