The study herein aimed to identify knowledge management's role in improving supply chain operations' efficiency in service organizations, focusing on the Jeddah Islamic Port in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The article used the documentary approach based on a review of the literature related to knowledge management and its impact on improving the performance of supply chain operations. The results of the study concluded the extent of the importance and effectiveness of the role of knowledge management in improving the efficiency of supply chain operations in service organizations and the existence of a direct positive statistically significant effect of knowledge management in improving supply chain practices in service organizations. In addition to the fact that there is a positive relationship between knowledge management processes such as knowledge sharing and supply chain efficiency. The study also recommended many recommendations, the most important of which are: the need to improve communications between the various departments and sections concerned with the supply chain and support the informed decision-making process by providing access to relevant information.
