Abraham Maslow is called the pioneer of humanistic theory, which believes that humans are as capable as possible of accepting and understanding themselves. The aim of this research is to describe humanistic theory using Abraham Maslow's literary psychology approach in the novel Heartbreak Motel by Ika Natassa. The research method uses qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques use listening and note-taking techniques. The data obtained in the research are in the form of quotations from novels. The data analysis technique uses the model from Miles and Huberman. The results of research on the humanistic theory of Abraham Maslow's literary psychology approach consist of 4 data on physiological needs, 4 data on security needs, 5 data on affection needs, 2 data on self-esteem needs, 3 data on self-actualization needs.
