This research aims to analyze social and religious values in the novel Buya Hamka of A. Fuadi's literary sociology review. Analysis of social values is a very real religious value in social activity. This research uses descriptive research that uses the qualitative method, which is a research procedure that produces descriptive data in the form of written words, quotations, assumptions, and paragraphs that are contained in the data. This is a novel by A. Fuadi. Data sources include works and novels. For data collection techniques, here the researchers use reading and recording techniques, starting with reading the entire object of the research and then reading the novel Buya Hamka. After that is the last data analysis technique, in which the researcher uses heuristic and hermeneutic theories because this research is a novel. The results of the research show that the novel Buya Hamka by A. Fuadi analyzes the structure of the novel's builders as well as the values embedded in it, namely social values and religious values, for the social value consists of several subvalues, among others: (1) love (affection), (2) responsibility (responsibility), and (3) life harmony, which encompasses values of justice, tolerance, cooperation, and democracy. As for religious values, the first is the question of human relations with God; the second is the norm of life; and the third is the issue of behavior. (akhlak).
