Globalization and the rapid development of technology, the concept of national security is becoming increasingly relevant both for Russia and for many foreign countries. National security covers a wide range of issues related to the protection of the interests of the State, society and citizens from various threats, both internal and external. Historically, the concept of national security has undergone significant changes, from ancient times to the present day. The importance of studying it is undeniable, since it affects not only military aspects, but also economic, social, cultural and environmental factors that can affect the stability and development of the state. In the course of the study, the authors identified the following features of the Russian national security strategy and its differences from other countries. Our country focuses on protecting vital priorities, internal security, territorial integrity and territorial order, focusing on the comprehensive protection of the interests of the country, its citizens and society. While unfriendly countries such as the United States, Great Britain, Germany, France, the Republic of Korea and Japan focus their attention on countering external and internal threats through the prism of interference in the private lives of citizens. As a result of the research conducted by the authors, it can be said that studying the history of the emergence and consolidation of the concept of national security in the legislation of Russia and foreign countries is an important step towards understanding modern realities and threats facing states. This research not only enriches theoretical knowledge in the field of law and international relations, but also opens up new horizons for the practical application of acquired knowledge in the field of security.
