This study aims to analyze the current status and limitations of science museum experiential learning in Korea and to propose practical directions for improvement. To this end, a research trend and network text analysis was conducted on 82 related papers published between 2005 and 2024, and in-depth interviews were conducted with four science museum professionals in the Busan region. The analysis revealed that previous studies were largely focused on the perspectives of teachers and learners, while the views of science museum professionals—the actual operators of the programs—were addressed only in a limited manner. Through the interviews, several key tasks were identified: establishing practice-oriented operational structures centered on professionals, building collaborative systems between teachers and museum staff, and developing exhibit design principles aligned with the national curriculum. Based on these findings, the need to develop an experiential learning operation model was raised. This study may serve as an exploratory foundation for designing science museum experiential learning structures and applying them in practice.
