The article provides a theoretical analysis of the issue of ensuring academic integrity in higher education institutions in Ukraine. It analyzes the regulatory and legal documents and works of scholars that address the concept of «academic integrity» and the issue of academic responsibility of participants in the educational process for violations of academic integrity. It is established that a code of academic integrity should be developed in higher education institutions, which should outline the rules and norms of ethical behavior for all participants in the educational process. It has been determined that academic integrity is a component of the professional development of future social workers. Based on ethics, the culture of behavior in relation-ships with others, and the principles of academic integrity, students not only develop the ability to solve complex problems quickly and effectively but also cultivate critical thinking, creativity, cognitive flexibility, and interpersonal skills. The article also considers the features of internal quality assurance in educational activities at Khmelnytsky National University, as well as the regulatory documents that govern academic integrity in the educational and scientific activities of future social workers.
