This study explores the critical role of cultural adaptation in digital marketing strategies employed by Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Java, Indonesia, within the context of a rapidly digitizing marketplace and shifting consumer behaviors. The research employs a systematic literature review methodology to scrutinize existing academic works on digital marketing and cultural adaptation specific to MSMEs in this region. By synthesizing data from various scholarly sources, the study identifies vital themes that highlight the integration of local cultural elements into digital marketing practices. The findings reveal that incorporating regional norms, languages, traditional symbols, and culturally relevant messaging significantly enhances brand loyalty and market penetration among MSMEs. This research underscores the imperative for MSMEs to leverage cultural insights as a strategic advantage in their digital marketing efforts. By adapting to the cultural context of their target audiences, these enterprises are better positioned to improve customer engagement and foster competitiveness in an increasingly complex digital landscape. This study contributes to the growing body of knowledge in innovation management by illustrating the intersection of cultural factors and digital marketing practices, providing a framework for MSMEs aiming to innovate and thrive in the market.
