ABSTRACT Hydrogen peroxide (H 2 O 2 ) electrosynthesis via a two‐electron oxygen reduction reaction (2e – ORR) from seawater holds a promising perspective for the marine economy. However, the competitive 4e – ORR pathway and high concentration of Cl – in seawater pose great challenges. Recently, Zhang et al. developed high‐performance electrocatalysts based on NiPS 3 nanosheets for efficient H 2 O 2 production from seawater. The seawater electrolysis system based on NiPS 3 enables large‐scale production of H 2 O 2 , which can be applied to wastewater degradation, biomass valorization, and agricultural fields. This finding facilitates the sustainable conversion of seawater into high‐value products.
