The National Telehealth Program, initiated in 2007, aims to support Primary Health Care in Brazil by creating telehealth centers linked to public universities, which were recently integrated into the SUS Digital Program, focusing on expanding services. This study aimed to analyze the performance of the telehealth centers of the Unified Health System (SUS) concerning public telehealth policies and their registration in the National Registry System of Health Providers (SCNES). The research identified a variety of nomenclature, management styles, and types of services offered by the centers, revealing that only one center is not included in the SCNES. The study also addressed changes in telehealth policies and emphasized the importance of evaluating and monitoring the performance of these centers, which face challenges related to political and financial factors. This analysis concluded that it was impossible to determine the academic performance of these services due to the lack of standardization and proper registration of actions related to training in digital health.
