Morocco's agricultural sector plays a central role in the country's economy, rural livelihoods, and food security. However, it faces increasing pressure from climate change, water scarcity, and structural inequalities. This narrative review examines Morocco's agrifood transformation through a policy and systems perspective, focusing on key initiatives such as the Green Morocco Plan (2008–2020) and Generation Green (2020–2030). Sustainable practices like conservation agriculture, wastewater reuse, and agroforestry are being promoted to enhance resilience and environmental stewardship. Morocco's experience offers valuable insights for countries in arid and semi-arid regions aiming to achieve sustainable agrifood development through integrated and inclusive approaches.
