The existence of angels is among the axiomatic beliefs in Islam and other religions. Since these beings are immaterial and imperceptible to sensory faculties, our understanding of their inner truths is minimal and incomplete. Therefore, regarding their existential characteristics and nature, our knowledge is limited to what the Creator has introduced to us in the Holy Qur'an. This study aims to delve deeply into the luminous verses of the Qur'an to clarify the attributes, characteristics, missions, and duties of angels, as derived from the verses. The findings reveal that angels are beings who do not disobey God, do not grow weary of worship, and continuously glorify and sanctify God. They are servants of God with specific attributes and are assigned certain tasks and responsibilities by Him. Another significant finding of this study is the Qur'an's portrayal of angels as having wings. This expression may be metaphorical or symbolic, referring, based on established rational principles, to their immaterial and non-corporeal nature.
