The article addresses issues related to stakeholders, with particular emphasis on the theory of their influence on the functioning of enterprises and the universal principles of their effective management, which constitute the foundation for achieving competitive advantage. The historical conditions for the development of transport were also presented, the characteristics of transport as an economic sector and the most important legal regulations in force in the industry in Europe were discussed. The content of the study combines theoretical aspects with practical professional experience gained in the transport sector. A detailed analysis of the forwarding company was carried out, with particular emphasis on identifying the stakeholders of the transport industry, their characteristics and the role they play in logistics and transport processes. The work characterises both entities directly involved in transport activities and those that interact with them on a legal basis. One of the chapters describes in detail the examined enterprise and presents the operational and strategic activities implemented therein. Additionally, this analysis allows for a better understanding of the mechanisms of cooperation between various stakeholder groups, which is crucial for the effective management and development of the enterprise. The conclusions presented in the article may constitute the basis for further research on the optimisation of stakeholder relations in the transport sector.
