In this study, we attempted to analyze the literary elements and postmodern characteristics in creative picture books that reinterpreted the fairy tale of『Little Red Riding Hood』. For this purpose, 13 original picture books that reinterpreted the fairy tale『Little Red Riding Hood』were analyzed. As a result of the analysis, the characteristics that appeared in the creative picture book that reinterpreted the fairy tale of『Little Red Riding Hood』were found to be characteristics of characters, background, theme, and plot. In addition, in terms of postmodern characteristics, we discovered typographic characteristics such as open endings that destroyed traditions and customs, intertextuality, pastiche, epitext effects among paratexts, and graphic effects. Through this, we proposed field application methods and implications for future research in the process of reading creative picture books that reinterpret the fairy tale of『Little Red Riding Hood』, which shows various modern transformations.
