This study examines the promotion of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) program, specifically focusing on the initiatives undertaken by Sri Sai Ram Institute of Technology, Chennai, in Sethupattu Village, Kancheepuram District. The research explores how a higher educational institution contributes to rural development by addressing local challenges in areas such as health, identification, and disaster preparedness, aligning with global sustainability targets. It details the nature of community engagement, including free medical camps, eye care services, PAN and Aadhaar card drives, and disaster management training for Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and students. The study aims to provide insights into the practical implications and effectiveness of UBA in translating global SDGs into tangible local impacts, offering a real-world case study of academic-community collaboration
