The article analyzes the measures of state support for small agricultural business within the framework of the "State Program for the Development of Agriculture and Regulation of Agricultural Products, Raw Materials and Food Markets for 2008-2012". Particular attention is paid to changes in state support for small agricultural business associated with the adoption of the national project "Small and Medium Entrepreneurship and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiative". Changes in state support for small agricultural business associated with the start of the implementation of the federal projects "Creation of a System of Support for Farmers and Development of Rural Cooperation" and "Acceleration of Small and Medium Entrepreneurship Entities" are considered. The content of new instruments of state support for small agricultural business within the framework of the State Program for the Development of Agriculture implemented in 2025 is disclosed. The need to develop measures to support mechanisms for interaction between small agricultural business and large agricultural producers is outlined. The role of the State Program measures in the development of small agricultural business is noted.
