Rural income policy in the spatial development of rural areas

The income policy of the rural population in the spatial development of rural areas is completely untouched in the strategic documents of the spatial development of Russia. However, in the strategic aspect, accelerated so-cio-economic development of rural areas is extremely important in order to preserve the habitat of the rural population and create an attractive living area in rural areas. Nevertheless, the observed processes taking place in most rural areas indicate an impressive imbalance in the possibilities and level of economic and physical availability of food between the urban and rural populations permanently residing in rural areas. The revealed inconsistency of the numerical values of indicators of the material well-being of the rural population in the adopted regulatory documents and the analytical assessment of the state of the material well-being of rural citi-zens made it possible to identify strategic directions for increasing rural incomes to overcome the concentration of rural poverty, which will serve the balanced spatial development of rural areas of Russia and achieve the national goal of population conservation, strengthening people's health and well-being.
