Modern transformations in the activities of business entities demonstrate a clear trend of transition from the traditional functional management model to a process-oriented approach. Based on the analysis of professional sources, an attempt has been made to clarify the term "business process", highlighting it as an integrated set of interrelated operations that directly affect the final results of the work of the organization. Priority is given to review of business processes through the prism of managerial impact, which emphasizes the value of their careful description and multidimensional analysis, primarily for the development of internal mechanisms of the production and management activities of the company. This approach contributes not only to increased efficiency, but also to the formation of the foundations for the long-term stability of corporate activities by improving the structure and logic of ongoing processes. Among the tools used in process management models, a variety of analysis methods are distinguished, including both quantitative and qualitative approaches enabling to assess comprehensively and optimize the parameters of the functioning of organizational business processes.
