This article addresses the decline in the number of scientific personnel in Russia and the aging of the existing cohort, largely due to the decreasing prestige of scientific careers among young people. The article examines the causes of this trend and considers factors that could increase scientific literacy among youth. It also presents the experience of organizing scientific conferences as a method for enhancing youth engagement with science and promoting economic disciplines.
