Abstract: In contemporary Chinese music education, how can we interpret the efficacy of traditional philosophical ideas in the transmission of values? Additionally, what is the relationship between red music (RM) culture and traditional Chinese philosophical thought within the framework of music education, and how do these elements interact to shape educational outcomes? Therefore, this article contends that traditional Chinese philosophy can be modernized by integrating red music education. Furthermore, by embedding Western Fujian RM within the larger framework of China’s revolutionary spirit and cultural confidence through red music education, it not only enhances the comprehension of traditional Chinese philosophies, such as “rites and music” and “harmony between man and nature”, but also significantly contributes to nurturing students’ moral development. Through case analysis, it also provides a replicable “RM + traditional philosophy and educational practice” model developed in this study that offers a pathway characterized by Chinese features and local adaptability for ideological and political education within regional college curricula.
