The present study aims to investigate and propose sustainable strategies for the thermoplastic polymer injection process, with the goal of reducing environmental impacts and promoting material circularity. To achieve this, a literature review was conducted on the principles of sustainability applied to polymeric product design, the environmental and regulatory challenges faced by the industry, and technological innovations aimed at waste reduction and production process optimization. The research emphasizes the importance of selecting sustainable materials, such as biopolymers and biodegradable polymers, as well as adopting hybrid molds and environmental management systems to minimize waste and carbon emissions. It is concluded that transitioning to more sustainable practices in polymer injection is essential to align industrial production with environmental and social demands, fostering a more responsible and efficient approach to resource utilization.
