Each year, the Biochemical Society fully sponsors the attendance of two outstanding postgraduate or early career members to attend the FEBS Congress and Young Scientists’ Forum (YSF). With a theme of ‘Bridging Continents to Advance Life Science’, the 49th FEBS Congress and 24th YSF combined research presentations and education-oriented sessions to explore cutting-edge developments at the intersection of molecular biology, neuroscience, artificial intelligence and sustainable material. Providing an incredible opportunity to make connections with European colleagues and discuss research with an international audience, we were delighted to offer International Sponsored Places to Shannon Richardson (University of St Andrews, UK) and Jessica Taube (UCL Cancer Institute, UK) in 2025. Here, Shannon and Jessica discuss their experiences at this years’ meetings and highlight the valuable networking and interactions developed as a result of their participation.
