A new technology for automatic control of the preliminary water dischargeprocessat downhole fluid separation is considered. A scheme for automatic separation control with constant correction of oil-water mixture separation based on contentassessment of residual oil products in the discharged water is proposed. The results of full-scale tests conducted at an oil well for preliminary water discharge and fluid separation are presented. A comparison of automated control systems forutilization units of produced formation water is carried out. The use of the proposed scheme ensures the residual oil content in the discharged water of 26...48 mg/l (with alternative methods — 36...53 mg/l).
