The article discusses processes of universalization in the design of Russian kitchen furniture, caused by globalization of cultural and consumer practices, especially in the urbanized regions of the European part of the country. The purpose of the study is to identify and characterize the main current design trends associated with the unification of the aesthetics of products. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the fact that it is the first one to identify the specifics of the Russian perception of global standards in kitchen design, manifested in the adaptation of international solutions to the spatial and socio-cultural conditions of society. As a result of the study, the main directions of aesthetic universalization in the field of styles, color trends, and layout solutions are determined. Such trends as the predominance of stylistic directions with a functional dominant and an environmentally friendly approach in kitchen design (minimalism, Scandinavian style, Japandi), the cyclicality of fashionable color palettes and the desire for visual brevity are analyzed. The features of adaptation of aesthetic international trends in residential interiors of Russia are revealed. Despite global unification, personalization of kitchen sets, taking into account the needs of the users, is preserved.
