The article analyzes the specific features of digital transformation in Russian regions and its impact on sustainable development parameters. The conceptual framework is clarified, distinguishing between digitalization and digital transformation, and their role in the socio-economic and spatial evolution of territories is examined. Special attention is paid to methodological approaches for assessing digital maturity, the formation of integrated indicators, and the systemic drivers of digital inequality. The study concludes that digital transformation can drive sustainable growth if supported by comprehensive institutional reforms, infrastructure expansion, and improved digital literacy. The findings emphasize the importance of flexible digital strategies aimed at reducing regional disparities and enhancing territorial competitiveness.
