The current situation in the agricultural sector of the Republic of Tatarstan is characterized by strategic importance for ensuring food security, stable growth in agricultural production volumes, fairly broad specialization, introduction of modern agricultural technologies, active government support and attraction of investments in the industry. At the same time, the industry is characterized by traditional problems typical for Russian agriculture in general, the context of which is aggravated by the presence of significant sanctions pressure (restrictions on the import of agricultural equipment, technologies, seeds, difficulty in accessing international markets). One of the pressing problems is the shortage of qualified personnel associated with the low attractiveness of rural labor, youth migration to cities and insufficient level of professional training of workers. Analysis of human capital in the agricultural sector of the Republic of Tatarstan allows us to identify the causes of this deficit and develop a set of effective measures to eliminate it. The object of the study in this work is the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of human capital. The purpose of the study is to analyze the composition and structure of human capital in the agricultural sector of Tatarstan. Research methods: theoretical analysis, retrospective analysis, tabular and graphical constructions. Scientific novelty of the study: development of methodological approaches to the analysis of human capital, identification of the main problems and directions for optimizing human capital in the agricultural sec tor of Tatarstan.
