The Intertwined Fates of Human and Artificial Agents: Navigating the Evolving Landscape of LLM-Driven Agents

This paper examines the complex and increasingly intertwined relationship between human and artificial agencies, particularly within the rapidly evolving domain of Large Language Model (LLM)-driven agents. Going beyond viewing agents as mere computational programs, we explore their dimensions of autonomy, inter-agent interactions, and the emergent properties that suggest incipient social cognition within these AI systems.
