The purpose of the article is to generalize the features of Chinese piano art taking into account European musical traditions by integrating Eastern and Western approaches, which stimulates a deeper mastery of the genre and style features of the piano musical tradition by Chinese composers and performers. The implementation of scientific research is provided by a number of methods, namely: comparative analysis, system-forming, abstraction, synthesis and generalization. The novelty of the article is due to the theoretical-historical understanding of the process of Chinese piano art formation in the context of the enrichment and interpenetration of musical traditions in the world space. Conclusions. It has been established that Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism played a significant role for the Chinese people, which influenced the formation of cultural self-awareness, including among Chinese musicians. At the same time, piano art developed in the context of European artistic-aesthetic traditions, which had values different from the Chinese worldview. The development of Chinese musical culture is characterized by an original rethinking and adaptation of world heritage to national artistic values and needs. One of the leading tasks of the modern cultural process is the search for harmony between global influences and preservation of the originality of Chinese piano tradition. European piano music was characterized by established and stable directions of development. However, the need to adapt Chinese cultural system to the Western tradition became urgent. The global interaction of musical styles and cultures takes place at various levels – from the creative exchange between Chinese and foreign composers to the growing interest of foreign audiences in the Chinese piano school. Such mutual cultural dialogue not only deepens the artistic and cognitive processes regarding Chinese piano art but also contributes to the implementation of integration processes in the direction of interaction of world cultural heritages.
