Innovative trends in the organization of contemporary arts education

The paper examines key innovative trends that define the current development of cultural and arts education in the countries of the European Union and outlines directions for their implementation in the Ukrainian educational space within the context of European integration processes and post-war recovery. The methodological framework is based on an interdisciplinary approach, combining methods of comparative analysis, documentary analysis, content analysis, and a structural-functional approach. The aim of the study is to identify the main innovative trends in the organization of contem- porary cultural and arts education in Europe, conduct a comparative analysis with the Ukrainian context, and substantiate the directions for implementing European experience in the conditions of mo- dernization and European integration in Ukraine. Findings and conclusions. Five defining directions of this process are characterized: digitalization, integration of STEAM approaches and interdisciplinarity, inclusiveness and cultural diversity, international academic mobility, and managerial- financial reforms. European experience demonstrates the integration of arts into general education and the broader cultural context through the use of digital technologies, the creation of open and inclu- sive learning environments, the development of cross-sectoral partnerships, and the promotion of mobi- lity. It is noted that in EU countries, art is regarded not only as a means of aesthetic education, but also as a tool for social cohesion, cultural diplomacy, and sustainable development. Programs such as Erasmus+, Creative Europe, Horizon Europe, and EU-level educational policies form the politi- cal and financial prerequisites for such a transformational course. In Ukraine, efforts are being made to adapt European innovations to national realities through updating the legislative framework, modernizing the content of arts education, implementing digital platforms, developing interdisciplinary approaches, and intensifying international cooperation. Significance. It is noted that despite existing infrastructural and organizational challenges, Ukraine is making progress in the structural integration into the European educational space, which is manifested in the harmonization of standards, the development of new educational programs, participation in EU grant initiatives, and the expansion of access to inclusive education. It is emphasized that the innovative transformation of arts education is not only a response to contemporary challenges but also a factor in shaping a new paradigm of coexistence in Europe, based on the values of openness, dialogue, and creativity. By implementing these approaches, Ukraine is not only modernizing its system of arts education but also making a significant contribution to the formation of a common European cultural space.
