The IR 4.0 - the period of integration and technology explosion changes the nature of work, requiring increasingly high-quality human resources to meet job requirements. The construction industry is a field related to the process of designing, constructing, operating, maintaining, and upgrading houses, buildings, roads, bridges, railways, airports, ports, and many others, which increasingly requires the integration of technology in all stages of work to improve labor productivity and competitiveness in the market. Digital transformation is an inevitable trend that businesses in the industry need to adapt to in the context of IR 4.0. In other words, human resources in the construction industry need to always be improved and equipped with the necessary digital skills commensurate with the development of technology to organize and operate work in the best way to achieve production and business goals in each period. However, the digital skills of human resources in Vietnam's construction industry have not yet met the job requirements, affecting work efficiency. This article, based on secondary data sources, will point out the current status of human resources in the construction industry in general and the level of digital skills in particular and propose some recommendations to stakeholders to improve the digital skills of human resources to keep up with the changing environment.
