The implementation of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is the process of recording patients' health information using computer-based systems. It includes patient identity, medical interview results, examinations, as well as all medical actions and services provided by healthcare professionals in a continuous manner. Digital transformation in healthcare services has become a national priority, in line with the mandatory implementation of EMR as stipulated in the Ministry of Health Regulation No. 24 of 2022. This study aims to review the implementation of EMR in the Emergency Department (ED) of RSUD Kota Serang. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach with purposive sampling techniques based on specific criteria. The findings indicate that the implementation of EMR in the ED of RSUD Kota Serang has been in progress since mid-2024, specifically starting in August 2024, utilizing the DigiCare system integrated into the hospital information management system (SIMRS). However, the implementation has not been fully optimal due to technical challenges, limited infrastructure, and the absence of specific SOPs for the ED. Furthermore, human resource training needs to be enhanced to ensure effective system utilization. Continuous improvements and stronger inter-unit coordination are essential to ensure the successful and comprehensive implementation of EMR.
