This paper describes a finite element formulation of the eddy current and structure coupled problem for curved shell structures. Coupling terms produced by curved geometry as well as flat plate geometry were obtained. Both matrix equations for eddy current and structure were solved simultaneously using coupling sub-matrices. The TEAM Workshop bench mark problem 16 was solved in order to verify the formulation and the computer code. The agreement with experimental results was very good for such a plate problem. The influence of each coupling term was examined. A coupled analysis of a cylinder was also performed.
