The article provides an overview of the contents of the collection of materials of the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference “Preserving the Historical Memory of the Great Patriotic War: the Role of Libraries” (May 14—15, 2025, Russian State Library). The author focuses on articles devoted to bibliographic and publishing projects of Russian libraries for the period from 1942 to the present. First of all, the author named the bibliographic indexes and manuals created to explain the liberating nature of this war, expose the anti-human essence of fascism, foster patriotism and responsibility for the fate of the Fatherland. They contain information about socio-political, economic, fiction, official documents and memoirs of eyewitnesses and participants of military events. The second part of the review is devoted to modern publishing projects of a number of Russian libraries, which published previously inaccessible evidence of the military era. The analysis of the collection showed that the comprehension of the existing repertoire of books and professional manuals about the war, the preparation and release of new publications of a bibliographic, popular science and documentary nature are current areas of activity of modern libraries.
