The performance of MSMEs has attracted the attention of both business and entrepreneurship scholars across the globe. This is because MSMEs serve as the major employers of labour in every nation of the world. Thus, to enhance MSMEs' performance, there is a need for entrepreneurs to have certain orientations that would increase their performance. It is based on this contribution that this study investigated the performance of MSMEs in Nigeria through entrepreneurial orientation using a descriptive research design with contingency theory as the underpinning theory. Two hundred and fifty MSMEs that were registered with the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria served as the target population. The investigation employed questionnaire for data collection. The study demonstrated that entrepreneurial orientation has significant effect on MSMEs performance. It was recommended that the managers of MSMEs should embrace entrepreneurial orientation as Medicare for MSMEs performance.
