Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping industries through increased efficiency, cost reduction, and time savings, yet its adoption in the built environment, particularly in Architectural Design Management (ADM), remains limited. This study investigates current practices, challenges, and opportunities related to AI integration in ADM. Using a qualitative approach, 23 semi-structured interviews were conducted with experienced professionals across diverse regions. While all participants were aware of AI, 83% reported using it in daily practice, primarily for design iteration, optimisation, brief compliance, parametric workflows, and creative enhancement. Key challenges identified include legal uncertainty, sector standardisation, reliability, and ethical concerns. Future opportunities were also noted, such as AI support in administrative tasks, document review, coordination, and job creation. The findings are synthesised into a SWOT-TAM framework, aligned with perceived usefulness and ease of use, offering valuable insights for guiding effective and responsible AI adoption in ADM.
