Statement of the problem. The article considers the universal approach as an effective method of forming readiness for professional self-realization of wind instrument performers. An analysis of educational and performance strategies that integrate various knowledge, skills and competencies into a single methodological system is carried out. The importance of combining technical mastery, interpretative and cultural awareness, as well as cross-genre flexibility as the basis of a universal model of professional training is substantiated. Objectives, methods, and novelty of the research. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the universal approach as an effective strategy for forming readiness for professional self-realization of wind instrument performers and to determine the main conditions and mechanisms for implementing this approach in modern art education. The methodological basis of the article consists of a set of axiological, cultural studies and interdisciplinary research methods. The scientific novelty of the article is determined by the following positions: for the first time in Ukrainian musicology, the universal approach has been comprehensively considered as a system-forming basis for professional self-realization of performers on wind instruments, which encompasses inter-genre, intercultural, technical and aesthetic integration in professional training. Innovative educational conditions have been identified that ensure the holistic formation of a new type of performer. Results and conclusions. It is noted that the universal approach to the training of performers on wind instruments is a promising direction in the modern system of higher musical education. It allows: 1) to form an integral artistic personality; 2) to ensure adaptability to various professional situations; 3) to realize the potential of independent and collective creativity; 4) to promote successful professional self realization in both, academic and non-academic environments. Further research could be aimed at developing models of curricula based on universal principles, as well as studying the effectiveness of such an approach in different national contexts of music education.
