The work examines the initiative budgeting of the city of Ryazan, which is aimed at increasing the active participation of the population in local government. Particular attention is paid to initiative projects that are financed from the regional budget, city budget and extra-budgetary funds. The dynamics of growth in the number and cost of initiative projects in Ryazan, as well as the neighboring municipalities of Tula, Ivanovo and Kaluga are analyzed. A comparative analysis of city data is provided by the number of projects, their cost and the share of extra-budgetary funds. Specific examples of implemented and planned projects in Ryazan are considered. The key areas of initiative projects for 2025 are highlighted.
