The paper aims to explore the role of leveraging AI into the healthcare sector with special emphasis on enhancing personalized treatments and patient care. Its aim is to firstly highlight the general operational and administrative abilities of Gen AI which involves improved diagnostics, reduced burden on the staff, thus leading to a collectively better healthcare provision and environment for patient and professionals alike. Secondly, it points out the capacity of Gen AI to revolutionize existing medical and healthcare practices by using the multi-dimensional data to create patient-centric plans and follow-ups. The paper doesn't fail to address the limitations and intricacies of involving Gen AI in to the healthcare sector, such as, the risks and inaccuracies caused due to potential biases, hallucinations and inaccurate or context-insensitive output generated thereafter. It addresses the need to constantly monitor patients through the wearable devices, and using the data thus created along with health records available, to suggest tailored solutions to the patients of chronic diseases, supporting management and early diagnostics of potential diseases. The findings highlight the importance of involving and educating on Gen AI while striving towards the scope for highly personalised treatment and better patient-engagement, while keeping in mind the need to adhere to ethical regulations.
