Abstract

As Adult Education is now recognized as one of the Educational Sciences, new teaching techniques, which more effectively comply with the peculiarities of adult learning, are coming to the fore. The present study focuses on the application of a category of such techniques, called "Active Education Techniques", to adult teaching. This is a qualitative research, conducted through semi-structured interviews and studies the experiences and views of 6 informants, 3 students and 3 graduates of Second Chance Schools. The processing of the results demonstrates on the one hand the difficulties associated with the application of these techniques due to their innovative nature and on the other hand their importance for the acquisition and consolidation of new skills and knowledge. It also highlights new issues, which could be the trigger for future research.
