Objective: This study aims to analyze wasting in toddlers aged 6–59 months in the context of the SDGs by identifying risk factors and recommendations for intervention. The factors studied as risk factors for wasting in toddlers are energy, protein, fat and carbohydrate intake, infectious diseases, history of low birth weight (LBW), history of exclusive breastfeeding, immunization and environmental health, which can support SDGs goal 3 Theoretical Framework: The theoretical framework relates to direct causal factors (intake and infectious diseases) as well as indirect causal factors (exclusive breastfeeding, history of LBW, immunization and environmental sanitation). Method: The design used was cross sectional, the study population was all toddlers aged 6-59 months in the Anak Air Health Center working area, with a sample of 64 people taken by simple random sampling. Data collection was carried out by measuring body weight and height of toddlers, interviews using questionnaires and 1x24 hour food recall forms Result and Discussion: The results showed that the risk factors for wasting in toddlers were energy intake (p=0.041; OR=4.16) and exclusive breastfeeding history (p=0.018; OR=7.16), while protein intake, fat intake, carbohydrate intake, history of infectious diseases, and history of LBW were not proven as risk factors for wasting in toddlers Implications of the study: Health workers can provide intensive education to mothers of toddlers about the importance of exclusive breastfeeding for the first 6 months and continue with complementary feeding that meets the child's energy needs. Increase regular monitoring of toddler growth through integrated health posts (Posyandu) or home visits, especially for toddlers who have not received exclusive breastfeeding or show symptoms of wasting. Originality/Value: The results of this study can form the basis for more targeted, area-based specific interventions in efforts to reduce wasting rates and support the achievement of SDG targets at the local level.
